Paris is situated 25/30 km north of Soisy sur Seine. It's easily reachable by car during French vacations, and if not, during workdays, think of leaving and coming back out of the peak hours. The drive to Paris is 30 minutes without traffic but can be up to to 1h30 during peak hours. 

Alternatively, you can use the public transportation (RER D or RER C+D, change at Juvisy-sur-Orge station to go to "Evry val de Seine" or "Ris Orangis" stations), it will last 40 minutes from the heart of Paris + a 10 min drive to the station. Once in Paris, just use the "metro" or the bus networks, they are very practical.

Champs Elysées, Notre-Dame, Tour Eiffel, Sacré Coeur, Le Louvre museum... Paris has so much to offer! 

If you are a museum addict, don't miss le Louvre, Musée du Quai d'Orsay, Musée Rodin, Musée Picasso, Centre Georges Pompidou, Musée du Quai Branly...

If you are rather a shopping addict, don't miss the huge departments stores close to Opera : Galeries Lafayette and printemps Haussmann, or rather experience the "little village fashion shopping" in Le Maris or Saint Germain des Prés. If you are attracted by luxury, don't miss then the "golden triangle" around rue Montaigne...

If you want to discover Paris and its small typical "quartiers", just fool around in Le Marais, Saint Germain des Prés, Montmartre, Ile St louis...

You can't g to Paris without visiting one of its well-known monuments : Tour Eiffel, Sacré Coeur, Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame, les Invalides or le Panthéon..
